Endura Clothing- ORDER NOW!

Sunday, August 21st, 2011

Hello everyone!

We’re now (finally!) taking new orders for jerseys. We’ve got a very early mock-up produced by the committee that we’ve sent off to Endura who will be adapting it into something awesome for us all to wear!

Whilst this is just an initial doodle Endura have plenty of experience with adapting peoples random sketches so we’re sure we’ll end up with something you’ll all like.

You can order any item from their custom range and it’ll come with our unique designs & logos. However as there is an 8 week wait for production and design we’re taking orders now and trying to get at least one run done as soon as possible. Thus the deadline for any orders is Friday the 26th August, i.e.: THIS FRIDAY!

How to order

Pick out what you want from the Endura custom range. Take note of the item ID then fill out our order form with your size.  Enter all your details along with your intended payment method then email the completed form to Fergus at: 0800796m@student.gla.ac.uk and we’ll get back to you with how to make payment.

We need complete payment in order to place your order – we can accept the money via cheque, cash, or direct bank transfer.

If you’re an ex-student, non-member or just starting this term you’re welcome to join in and order some kit as we’ve placed no limits on who is able to order (University Staff are welcome too!). If you’re an ex-student that has since left Glasgow then we should be able to arrange to post the kit to your new location, but please mention this when placing your order!

Any questions feel free to ask via Facebook or email:captain-cycling@gusa.gla.ac.uk

Freshers Week!

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

Well, it’s that time of year once more. Freshers week starts on the 13th of September, we’ve got a couple of things planned and we’d love to see you all there.

GUSA will be holding their annual sports fayre on the Tuesday and Wednesday (14th, 15th) in the Steveson building (i.e: the gym) We’ll be there to welcome new students and tell them about the club, but if anyone wants to pop down and keep us all company you’re all more than welcome!
On the Tuesday evening (14th) we’ll be running our second annual freshers tour. This is aimed towards folks who aren’t really familiar with Glasgow yet, It’s going to be a completely chilled out ride with more of an emphasis on getting to know the city than anything else and of course everyone’s welcome – We may even sneak a wee beeroo or two along the way.

Thursday morning we’ll be heading off the Glentress, Both roadies and MTBers are welcome as are existing members – but we’re going to prioritise space on the minibus for freshers. Hence, if you can drive and you’re capable of giving lifts we’d really appreciate it. If you’re coming with us you should be at the main gate and ready to go by 8:45am.

Not the weather we'll have.

The Roadies shall be heading out on the Saturday (18th) afternoon at roughly 2:30pm for a slightly prolonged (but mild) ride where you can take in some of the more scenic areas of Glasgow countryside, departure is also from the main gates.

New Committee, website, newsletter & Facebook page.

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

Well hello there. You may have noticed something new all of a sudden. Yes, it’s our flashy new website. It was made by the finest of Dutch craftsmen that a warm half bottle of Stella could buy, so I hope you all like.

This newfangled site has been designed to try and make it easier for you all to keep in touch and for the club to organise and promote new events to you all. For this reason we’ve tried to integrate the site with facebook as much as possible – the result being that you can now add comments on any of our news articles / blog posts by simply hitting the ‘connect with facebook’ button in the comments section. You also can now share/ like any of the posted news articles and they’ll appear in your news stream for your friends to see.

We’ve also set up a new page on facebook – if you ‘like’ the page you’ll get any updates from the the site popped directly into your news feed which will save you from having to check back here all too often. Our forum, however, still requires to you register – So If you want to join in on discussions there you can sign up: here

In addition to all that we’ve also changed the set-up for our mailing list this year, we’ll be retiring the googlemail account that we used to use and from now on we’ll sending everything from our ‘newsletter@gucc.co.uk’ address. If you’d like to add yourself to our mailing list you can do so using this form. (more…)
