What kinda bikes do you ride?
Mountainbike, road, track, downhill. You name it, someone in the club probably owns one.


How much is membership?
Fifteen pounds.


Where do you ride?
Scotland is a stunning place to ride, so we try and get all up in it! Most weekly rides will be pedalable from the Uni, but we also run the occasional day trips in cars to some of the 7 stanes. Coupled with these are the bigger, full weekend trips to Glentress and Fort William (much fun, Danger Can anyone?)


Do you rent bikes?
For the new year we are trying to get GUSA to fund us some track bikes. Beyond that it’s only what you can bring to the table I’m afraid. There are some shops in Glasgow that do hires though if you want to try the sport.


I’d like to try mountain biking, can you guys help?
Why yes, we can. We’re going to run some trips specifically for people looking to get into mountain biking, Keep an eye on our mailinglist/forums etc for details.


Do I need to be a member of the SRS to join?
Yup! Otherwise you can set foot in any minibuses without without the committee running the risk of having our heads chopped off and displayed in front of the Stevie on pikes as a warning to others.


What’s the Stevie?
It’s the name of the gym / near where GUSA is located


Whats GUSA?
GUSA is the Glasgow University Sports Association, the oldest student organisation at Glasgow university, GUSA and the Student Recreational Services pretty much ‘run’ sports at Glasgow. We’re affiliated and run under their umbrella. Ella ella ella, eh eh eh.


Do you guys run maintenance sessions?
This is something we’re hoping to arrange for next year.


How do I fix my bike?.
If you have a specific problem you can always ask about it on facebook, and hopefully someone can give you a hand there.
